Pastor Michael J. Barker is a native of Chidester, Arkansas. Born August 11, 1972 he is the fifth child of nine. He attended the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church where on May 28, 1986 at the age of 13 he preached his first sermon. He is a 1991 graduate of the Fairview High School Camden, Arkansas. Upon graduation he attended Arkansas Baptist College in the city of Little Rock, Arkansas. In February of 1997 he was called to Pastor the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Lisbon, Arkansas. His assignment there lasted two years. In October of 1999 he was called to Pastor the Fairview Christian Church of North Little Rock, Arkansas where he serves as the under shepherd with his beautiful wife Jheon and their Six children.
